DT's technology is based on a proprietary AI Technology, allowing it to manage large numbers of documents while analyzing them. Based on the analysis of the contents of the current document, the AI cross-references the contents and locations of other documents in the database and suggests groups to be filed using its classify function.

The Inspectors panes (Tools -> Inspectors) include a variety of information and functionality available on the right side of a main window: basic and custom metadata, searching, content, annotations, concordance in List, Cloud, and Graph views, and See Also and Classify features.
