  • Renaming the file and viewing/editing file information
This creates a new Note file, which can be renamed by highlighting and clicking on the file name.  Alternatively, you can right-click on the new note file and select "Get Info" to open the Info Pane. Three taps are available in the Info Pane: Generic, Custom, and Properties.
  • Editing the note file
To edit a note file in rich text format (.rtf), double-click or single-click to open it. While the note file with a single-click opens it in the preview screen, double-clicking will open up the file in a new window.  On the edit screen, the editing bar will appear by clicking the edit icon, Not available to edit, which then will change to the blue icon, Enable to edit.
This is located in the upper right corner of the edit/preview screen.
