This guide is to assist with electronic resources access issues

Clearing your web browser's history, cache, and cookies

Clearing your web browser occasionally can alleviate and resolve a lot of performance issues. 

Mobile Browsers

Android

  1. Tap on Settings
  2. Tap on Apps
  3. Swipe to All Tab
  4. Choose your web browser
  5. Tap on Clear Data
  6. Tap on Clear Cache

Chrome for Android

  1. Tap on More on the top right hand side of the screen
  2. Tap History
  3. Tap Clear Browsing Data
  4. Choose time range, to delete all, choose All Time
  5. Tap on Clear Data

Safari for IOS

  1. Tap on Settings
  2. Tap on Safari
  3. Tap on Clear History and Website Data

Chrome for IOS

  1. Tap on on the bottom far right hand side of the screen
  2. Tap on Settings
  3. Tap on Privacy
  4. Tap on Clear Browsing Data
  5. Tap on Clear Browsing Data again

Desktop Browsers

Chrome

  1. Click on the 3 horizontal dots or the red arrow the on the top right hand corner of the screen
  2. Click on "More Tools"
  3. Click on Clear Browsing Data, select for All Time, Check on the other two boxes Cookies and Cached Images and Files
  4. Click on Clear Data

Safari

  1. From the top menu near the Apple icon click on Safari
  2. Click on Clear History
  3. From drop down menu choose All History
  4. Click on Clear History

Firefox

  1. Click on the 3 bars symbol on the top right hand corner of the screen
  2. Click on History
  3. Click on Clear Recent History
  4. On Details drop down menu you can see what will be deleted
  5. On drop down menu Time Range to Clear choose Everything
  6. Click on Clear Now

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the 3 dots top right hand corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Choose Privacy and Services
  4. Select Clear Browsing Data
  5. Choose Cached Images and Files, Cookies and other site data
  6. Click on Clear

Microsoft Explorer

  1. Click on Tools icon (image of gear)
  2. Click on Internet Options
  3. Click on Delete under Browsing History
