Using the Library Reading List in Canvas
Tips for UTSA faculty on using Library Reading List to manage course readings

Need help creating your reading list, adding readings, or requesting new readings? Contact libreserve@utsa.edu.
Use Blank Form to request new items not owned by the library in any format.
Login to Canvas > select a course > select Library Reading List on the left menu.
Click > select a Blank Form.
Fill out the Blank Form or upload a file. Please note that depending on your screen size and resolution, you may have to scroll down to view the entire Blank Form.
Indicate your preferred Type, e.g. e-book vs. book, video, etc. If you want, add a Student Note for your students. Click Add.
If your course is not yet loaded in Canvas, please contact libreserve@utsa.edu to request new materials not owned by the Libraries. Streaming media and some books / e-books require additional processing time and may take several weeks to get. Please submit your request as far in advance as possible to ensure timely access for your students. The Libraries team will communicate with you throughout the process.
