Publish
When your List is ready to be published and made visible to students, click the "My list is ready" button.
Make sure the list is linked to a course.
Draft mode will change to Published. Once a list is published, it cannot be unpublished.
Manage Link to Course
A Reading List must be linked to a Canvas course when published to be accessible to students in that course. One list may be linked to multiple courses.
Make sure the course name appears in the header. If not, you may link to a course two ways:
- Click on Link to course and select appropriate course(s).
- Click on the List menu > Manage link to course.
Share with Students
Students will click Tools on the course menu and select Library Reading List (LIB) to access your course readings.
You can also create shareable links and embed them as needed in your course or syllabus. You can create shareable links to:
- Lists
- Sections
- Individual Items
Point your cursor to the right-hand side of a List, Section or Item to bring up the share icon and follow the steps.
