Register for Your ORCID Account

  Create or Connect your ORCID iD

• Click on the ORCID link above
• Complete the form
• Add variants of your name, country, keywords to describe areas of interest, personal websites, personal information, education, and employment (this step can be performed later).

Institutional ORCID Account

• If you don't have a previously created personal ORCID, you may create an ORCID account using the Institutional login
• Click on the ORCID link above
• Choose "Institutional Account"
• Begin typing "University of Texas at San Antonio" until it appears in the drop down menu
• Select "University of Texas at San Antonio"
• Login using your abc123 credentials

Link Multiple ORCID Accounts

If you have more than one ORCID account and would like to merge them, contact:

Provide:

• Your name
• Email address
• All ORCID iDs (specify which to keep)

Wait for confirmation that an ORCID iD has been de-duplicated.

ORCID Privacy Settings

For each content category you may select:

• everyone for public content that you want visible to anyone using ORCID
• trusted parties for content that you want visible only to those considered trusted parties that you have authorized to connect to your ORCID record
• only me for information that should only be visible to you
