- Animal Welfare Information Center (AWIC)AWIC is a part of the USDA's National Agricultural Library. Their site provides information on methods and sources available to reduce, refine, or replace animals used in teaching, testing, and research.
- Australian and New Zealand Council for the Care of Animals in Research and Teaching (ANZCCART)ANZCCART is an independent body established to consider the scientific, ethical, and social issues associated with the use of animals in research and education. This resource offers fact sheets, newsletters, and publications for anzccart.
- Canadian Council on Animal Care Three RsCCAC website providing useful information on the three Rs (replacement, reduction, and refinement alternatives) to those involved with the use of animals in science.
- CompMedCompMed™ is an e-mail list, maintained by AALAS, for discussion of comparative medicine, laboratory animals, and topics related to biomedical research. The listserv archives are an excellent source for alternatives searching.
- FRAME: Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical ExperimentsFRAME (UK) is an independent charity with the goal of replacing animals in medical experimentation via a focus on finding and researching alternatives to animal testing. FRAME supports the 3Rs
- Institute for Lab Animal Research (ILAR)The mission of ILAR is to evaluate and to report on scientific, technological, and ethical use of animals and related biological resources, and of non-animal alternatives in non-food settings, such as research, testing, education, and production of pharmaceuticals. ILAR seeks to identify practices that provide for excellence in the welfare of animals used for these purposes, recognizing their moral value while achieving high-quality science.
