Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston (EGMH) is an initiative to preserve and continue the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum will be located in Houston, one of the most diverse cities in the United States. It will be the first ever museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in the Americas. The Museum’s message is a transformative one: Through practice of nonviolent conflict resolution, visitors (especially youth) can be catalysts for change in their own lives and communities.

Hindus of Greater Houston was founded in 1989 with a unique concept to bring together the entire community at one place and celebrate the most popular festival, the birth of Lord Krishna. The festival is to showcase the rich traditions and culture and bring out the core tenets of the Hindu faith that reinforces love towards all living beings. Over the years Hindus of Greater Houston collectively organized community volunteer driven events throughout the year.

India Association of San Antonio was formed in 1978 and acquired its non-profit status in 1980. At the inception, the primary purpose of this organization was to support cultural, educational, religious and charitable activities, for the benefit of its members and the general public.

Samskriti, meaning ‘cultural tradition’ in Sanskrit, was established in 1995 with the vision of uniting cultural traditions between the East and the West. By bringing the best of Indian fine arts from around the world to Houston audiences and by promoting cross-cultural programs involving Indian and American artists from different ethnic backgrounds in meaningful collaborations, Samskriti has more than amply fulfilled its mission in its twenty five years of service to Houston arts.
