- Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI)The ACEI is a "global community of educators and advocates who unite knowledge, experience, and perspectives in order to exchange information, explore innovation and advocate for children." It provides the standards that are used for National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) accreditations.
- Educational Testing Service (ETS)"ETS is the world's largest private, nonprofit organization devoted to educational measurement and research. Founded in 1947 by the American Council on Education, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and the College Board, ETS is governed by a 16-member board of trustees."
- National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)"The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8."
- National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) is "a national accrediting body for schools, colleges, and departments of education authorized by the U.S. Department of Education. NCATE determines which schools, colleges, and departments of education meet rigorous national standards in preparing teachers and other school specialists for the classroom."
- National Council for Social Studies (NCSS)"Social studies educators teach students the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and civic values necessary for fulfilling the duties of citizenship in a participatory democracy. The mission of National Council for the Social Studies is to provide leadership, service, and support for all social studies educators."
- National Education Association (NEA)The NEA's mission "is to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world."
- Parent Teacher Association (PTA)"The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students."
- Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA)"Since 1948, the Southern Early Childhood Association has brought together preschool, kindergarten, primary teachers & administrators, caregivers, program directors, and individuals working with & for families, to promote quality care and education for young children."
