Assessing the OER & Textbook Experience at UTSA
Presents UTSA student and faculty feedback collected through the DOERS Student Success Through OER Rubric Grant: Fall 2024-Spring 2025
DOERS at UTSA
In November of 2023, UTSA Libraries and Museums, Academic Innovation, and the Division of Student Success were awarded $10,000 by the Driving Open Educational Resources for Sustainability and Student Success (DOERS) to assess student and faculty awareness and experiences with textbooks and open educational resources (OER) through the DOERS Student Success Through OER Rubric. The UTSA grant team collected student feedback in Fall 2024 through a Canvas-distributed survey. Faculty feedback was collected through one-on-one interviews, a Canvas-distributed survey, and through focus groups with faculty that teach Texas Core Curriculum Courses.
