Current Funding Agency Requirements
Currently, federal funding agencies are still operating under 2013 guidance and the changes outlined in the 2022 Nelson memo have not taken place. Once agencies update their policies, UTSA Libraries will update this chart with current guidance for public access to datasets and research articles.

Agency Updates
Federal funding agencies are still in the process of finalizing their public access plans. Below are links to some of the current public access policies for federal agencies. Keep in mind that all federal funders must finalize their public access policies by the end of 2025.

- 2022 Updated OSTP Policy GuidanceSPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) maintains a web page that tracks progress from federal funders on updating their public access policies.
