Copyright Permission

By now you should be familiar with the basics of U.S. Copyright law. You know that copyright holders have exclusive rights to decide how their work is used, and that generally you must ask permission to re-use copyrighted material. 

In Part 2, you learned about exceptions to the copyright law such as fair use. In these circumstances, you do not need to seek permission from the copyright holder to re-use their work.
