- American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)"The AACC is the primary advocacy organization for the nation's community colleges. The association represents almost 1,200 two-year, associate degree–granting institutions and more than 11 million students."
- American Council on Education (ACE)"Founded in 1918, ACE is the nation's umbrella higher education association dedicated to the belief that equal educational opportunity and a stronger higher education system are essential cornerstones of a democratic society."
- American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC)Since 1973, the AIHEC is a collection of 37 Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) and is "a unique community of tribally and federally chartered institutions working to strengthen tribal nations and make a lasting difference in the lives of American Indians and Alaska Natives."
- Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE)"The Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) promotes collaboration among its members and others engaged in the study of higher education through research, conferences, and publications, including its highly regarded journal, The Review of Higher Education."
- Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)"The Association of American Colleges and Universities is the institutional membership association focused on advancing the aims of liberal education. AAC&U is a national resource and leader for keeping learning at the center of the work of higher education institutions."
- Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU)"The APLU is a voluntary, non-profit association of public research universities, land-grant institutions, and many state university systems and has member campuses in all 50 states and the U.S. territories."
- College Board"The College Board is a national association of colleges, universities, secondary schools, school systems, and educational associations and institutions. It assists students who wish to attend college through guidance, admission, placement, financial aid, credit examination, and other related services."
- Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)"Established in 1996, CHEA serves as a national advocate for voluntary self-regulation through accreditation. The Council for Higher Education Accreditation is a nonprofit membership organization of higher education colleges and institutions. It is supported by these member institutions and regional, national, and specialized and professional accrediting bodies."
- Educational Testing Service (ETS)"ETS is the world's largest private, nonprofit organization devoted to educational measurement and research. Founded in 1947 by the American Council on Education, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and the College Board, ETS is governed by a 16-member board of trustees."
- EDUCAUSEEDUCAUSE is a "nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. "
- Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)Founded in 1986, the HACU has grown to over 400 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Spain. It is the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
- National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP)"The mission of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) is to lead in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle level principals and other education leaders in their commitment for all children."
- National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU)"The NAICU serves as the unified national voice of independent higher education. Since 1976, the association has represented private colleges and universities on policy issues with the federal government, such as those affecting student aid, taxation, and government regulation."
- National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP)"The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) is the preeminent organization of and national voice for middle level and high school principals, assistant principals, and aspiring school leaders from across the United States and more than 45 countries around the world. The mission of NASSP is to promote excellence in middle level and high school leadership."
- National Education Association (NEA)The NEA's mission "is to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world."
- Texas Education Agency (TEA)The mission of TEA is to provide leadership, guidance and resources to help schools meet the educational needs of all students.
- University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA)"The University Council for Educational Administration is a consortium of higher education institutions" - and UTSA's ELPS Department is an institutional member.
