Search Strategy
Evidence synthesis requires not only top-notch search results, but reproducibility so document everything - decisions, what worked, what did not.
- Consult with your Subject Librarian
- Conduct a preliminary search
- Structure the search, i.e. population AND intervention AND outcome
- Look for related or adjacent SRs
- Identify relevant terms to include in the search string through literature review and use of database headings/thesauri
- Develop inclusion/exclusion criteria
