Finding Peer Reviewed Research

Steps

  1. Go to WorldWide Political Science Abstracts.
  2. Enter search terms into search box.
  3. Place check marks by 'Peer reviewed' and 'Scholarly Journals'.
  4. Click search.

Be sure to limit to scholarly peer-reviewed articles when searching in order to find the highest quality research articles.  screenshot of search results page

Library Quick Search

  1. Go to Library Quick Search.
  2. Enter search terms into search box.
  3. Place check marks by 'Available Online', 'Scholarly and Peer Reviewed', and 'Articles'.
  4. Click search.

Google Scholar doesn't have a clear filter for journal articles and includes many different types of academic publications. In order to ensure you're getting journal articles, look for the journal name, volume. and issue number, like below.
