LaTeX & BibTeX

This guide provides resources/tips for using LaTeX & BibTeX commands. While this Libguide is intended for any users, we can’t assist non-members of UTSA with any specific questions about using BibTeX and LaTex software programs or coding.

Getting Started

Download and Installing Zotero. 

Zotero runs best on Chrome or Firefox. Zotero works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Download and install Zotero 7 for your computer and the Zotero Connector for your internet browser.

Exporting Zotero Citation to BibTex File

There are two ways to export citations to a BibTex file. 

1. From the top left, where the menu bar is located, click on File > then Export Library.

2. Right-click on your citation collection, then click on Export Collection. 

 

How to save BibTex file. 

Provide a File Name, ensure the format is set to BibTex, then click Save!

On the left side bar, click on the paper icon to add a new file

In the Add Files window, click on Upload
