American Bar Association
ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
State Bar of Texas
The fifth largest organization of lawyers in the U.S. The State Bar Act, adopted by the Legislature in 1939, mandates that all attorneys licensed to practice law in Texas be members of the State Bar. Site includes an attorney search, information on selecting a lawyer along with background information on the Texas legal system.
