About NielsenIQ Datasets
The Nielsen and NielsenIQ datasets at the Kilts Center for Marketing is a relationship between the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and the Nielsen Company, and makes select Nielsen marketing datasets available to academic researchers in other institutions.
The Alvarez College of Business (ACOB) has an institutional contract with the Kilts Center for Marketing subject to annual renewal in June. Our institutional contract currently provides access to the following NielsenIQ datasets:
-
NielsenIQ Consumer PanelConsumer Panel data include longitudinal data beginning in 2004 with annual updates. These data track a panel of 40,000–60,000 US households and their purchases of fast-moving consumer goods from a wide range of retail outlets across all US markets. Nielsen consumer panelists use in-home scanners to record all of their purchases (from any outlet) intended for personal, in-home use. Consumers provide information about their households and what products they buy, as well as when and where they make purchases.
