SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH! 

If you are a Roadrunner who is having to go without meals or even if you are just having a hard time stretching your food budget to cover rising grocery costs to feed yourself and your family, there is help available! 

Remember that you can visit our on-campus food pantry, the Whataburger Resource Room (also in the list below), to pick up free food and ingredients! 

The San Antonio Food Bank can provide access to food! They have staff who can help you seek assistance! Please reach out!

Student Emergency Fund: Grants of less than $500 to help with emergency expenses, such as medications/rent

HEERF Aid Application: Emergency financial aid grants for tuition, housing, etc.

Whataburger Resource | Roadrunner Pantry : The Roadrunner Pantry is open to all students in need with a valid UTSA ID.

UTSA Libraries’ Sexual Assault Awareness Survivors and Allies Resource Guide: Resources to help prevent sexual harassment, violence, and discrimination, as well as provide support to survivors.

Counseling and Mental Health: Counseling is now part of Wellness 360 by UT Health. They also have Wellbeing Services which offer training, outreach, consultations etc. Services are available to all students who are currently attending class. All services are confidential.

UTSA Libraries’ Mental Health and Wellness Guide: Resources supporting mental health for UTSA students, staff, and faculty.

San Antonio Resources: There are many types of assistance and resources such as housing, food, and unemployment available to the citizens and small business in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.

Pride Center San Antonio: Pride Center San Antonio was born with the purpose to promote the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally community in Bexar County.

Thrive Youth Center: Are you an LGBTQ+ young adult in Bexar County in need of emergency shelter? Thrive Youth Center may be able to help.
