Treaties
Treaties are formal agreements between two or more nation states having the force of law. Article II Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution gives the President the power "by and with the advice and consent of the Senate to make treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur." United States treaties must by approved by two-thirds of the United States Senate.
