Oral History Project Guidelines

UTSA Libraries is honored to work with oral history project practitioners to ensure the stories they have collected are shared and preserved for future generations in our Special Collections. Due to the resources demanded for enduring preservation we are unable to accept all project files/materials offered.  Given our needs for prioritized selection, we have created the following Requirements for Archival Collaboration and Deposit to allow us to collect the best possible scholarly output, honoring the intent of the project, protecting the privacy of narrators, and ensuring that we’re capturing the anticipated needs of our future users.  We request that project creators discuss their work with us as early as possible so that we may plan for the deposit of their work or consult with them find a repository that better suits their project.
