University Archives

The UTSA University Archives is a unit within UTSA Libraries Special Collections. We exist to document the institutional memory of the university. The University Archives collects, preserves and provides access to information about the University of Texas at San Antonio that is of enduring historical, administrative, or legal value.

Our research strengths include: 

  • Official records of UTSA academic and non-academic departments and central administration
  • University publications such as directories, catalogs, and periodicals including the Discourse, UTSA Bulletin, Roadrunner, SombrillaThe Paisano
  • Photographs that document the history of UTSA
  • Papers of UTSA faculty and staff members
  • Meeting minutes of faculty and staff organizations
  • UTSA academic, administrative, and student web sites, 2009-present
